Mission
Odessa Yoga was born from a personal journey of resilience, community, and healing. After being adopted from Ukraine and raised in Los Angeles, a passion for helping foster youth and underserved communities naturally developed. Alongside this, a deep love for yoga grew — a practice that became a grounding force during times of uncertainty. With volunteer work in foster care and food security nonprofits, it became clear how transformative the combination of yoga and mental health techniques could be for those navigating instability.
The mission of Odessa Yoga is to make these tools accessible to people of all backgrounds, helping individuals find strength, balance, and hope in a chaotic world. By incorporating yoga and therapeutic techniques like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Odessa Yoga aims to support foster youth and others in difficult environments to grow into their best selves, no matter the circumstances.
Odessa Yoga is also deeply committed to community impact: a portion of proceeds and publicity efforts directly support nonprofits that have been strengthening the Los Angeles community for decades. Every class, every breath, and every connection made through Odessa Yoga moves toward a larger vision of healing, empowerment, and lasting change.
